"The P6401 is an active probe which provides a visual indication of the state of logic circuits in the TTL and DTL Systems.
Strobe and Strobe inputs permit sensing of a logic state in coincidence with a gate pulse or other desired time interval pulse.  +5 volt power for the P6401 is supplied from the unit under test.  Connections for power are accomp
lished by small retractable hook tips, which may be clipped onto a wire lead or slipped over a 0.025 inch (0.0635 cm) wire-wrap pin." ~as per Data Sheet dated January,1981.
I believe that this set of accessories has an extra Alligator Clip. FYI: There also is no "Optional Accessory", "Probe Tip: Retractable Hook," 013-0106-00 (#21 in drawing), this is Not included as standard.

"The small, lightweight, hand-held P6401 indicates the state of logic levels in TTL, DTL, or any other system with threshold between 0.7 and 2.15 volts. A strobe input can be used to detect the coincidence of logic signals at two points. An indication of whether a logic pulse has or has not occurred can be obtained in a "store" mode.
Power may be obtained from the unit under test or any 5 V supply.
